Each year the CWY Crafty Peeps join together in support of a Charity of the Year. Throughout the year we find ways to raise money and provide support in a variety of ways. Over the years we have raised tens of thousands of dollars supporting numerous charities through our efforts. We have found that by joining together we can make the world a better place, bring hope to others and even save lives. Being part of the extraordinary efforts of this incredible group has been uplifting and inspiring. I believe we are better and stronger together and stand ready to meet the challenge. 

Although many of our efforts yield incredible results, nothing is like the Annual CWY Crop of Hope! This unique crop features a day of crafty fun filled with games and prizes. There is always so much fun to be had. 

Our 2023 charity of the year is Operation Smile!

Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. We estimate that there are millions of children waiting for care in the more than 30 countries where we work. 

The Operations Smile Mission:

Through our expertise in treating cleft lip and cleft palate, we create solutions that deliver safe surgery to people where it’s needed most.

What started as a family-led, medical-mission based organization has grown into a global network of passionate individuals united under the belief that access to safe surgery is not a privilege but a universal human right.

Empowering local health professionals through training and education creates surgical solutions that last. We’re proud that most of our medical volunteers are from the low-and middle-income countries we serve. By partnering with ministries of health, academic institutions, corporations, local health professionals and other organizations, our goal is to change lives and revolutionize how entire health systems deliver surgical care.
